The notion of “open government” permeates much of the recent conversation and debate surrounding the next generation of government – what transparency means, why it is important, and how it can be achieved. The 2009 Adobe Open Government Assembly shifted the conversation away from the concept to focus on the realities of open government, including the progress being realized today in the three pillars of the White House’s Open Government Initiative – government transparency, inter/intra-agency collaboration, and constituent participation.
